An Unforgettable Journey Deep into the Amazon Awaits

Three years ago, our team embarked on an extraordinary adventure, encountering “Los Boras,” an indigenous tribe tucked away in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. As we immersed ourselves in their remote villages, we had the profound privilege of not only providing free medical care, but sharing the life-changing hope of the Gospel. The impact on our team was immeasurable. Last summer, we returned once again, deepening our bonds with the Bora People and leaving forever impacted by their warm hospitality and vibrant culture. Now, with great excitement, we prepare for our fifth mission journey to the Amazon region, eager to reunite with our cherished friends and continue nurturing these communities with holistic care and The Gospel.

Los Boras

Numbering between 2,000-3,000, the Bora are one of over 350 indigenous groups scattered across the vast 7 million square kilometer Amazon basin. For centuries, their vibrant culture and traditional way of life have endured in harmony with the surrounding jungle. However, their isolation has also restricted access to modern healthcare, education and the life-giving message of the Gospel. Despite various missionary efforts over the years, the Bora people still await a Bible translation in their native tongue. Government policies aimed at protecting indigenous populations present challenges, but they cannot restrict the boundless love of Christ.

An Unstoppable Mission Fueled by Compassion

This summer, our team of missionaries, doctors, dentists, nurses, educators and volunteers is prepared to embark on an extraordinary journey motivated by a single purpose - to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Our goal is to provide free medical/dental care, educational support, and share the transformative hope of the Gospel with the Bora and other indigenous groups we encounter. Flights are booked and our team is finalizing preparations. We'll be connecting with local pastors and friends who will help facilitate our outreaches in the jungle villages. By offering these free services, we aim to make a meaningful, lasting impact on the lives we're privileged to serve.
